Gingham Girls

A couple of weeks ago, my friend Amy Smart sent me a small sampling of her new line Gingham Girls for Penny Rose/Riley Blake. These are some groovy prints in this group - straight out of the seventies when I was a kid.  Just a little bit of fabric went a long way to make 4 of my Bobbin Chase blocks from The Splendid Sampler!  I reversed the "bobbins" on the two "red" blocks and then I sashed all four blocks with 1 3/4" strips. do . good

With great joy I join my friend Natalie Barnes in the celebration of her next line of fabric for Windham Fabrics, Maker's Home. Beautiful rich colors and prints that go right along with her Hand Maker line. 52 Quilters – 2017-Week 22

So check both of the Instagram Feeds here...

Lilla and Aria

Here's more catching up with Happy Mail fabric that came into the studio in Late February this year (it can't be mid May already can it??) Jinksies! Crystal over at Windham Fabrics sent these fun little charm packs of  Lilla by Lotta Jansdotter and Aria by Kelly Ventura -- they go SO WELL together don't they?? I am always a bit stymied by pre-cuts. They are so pretty on their own - but I usually use different odd sizes for almost all of my patterns, so pre-cuts have never been my bag. But...

Garden Delights

I was soooo freaking excited to get this line, Garden Delights, by Gray Sky Studio for In the Beginning Fabrics. I have posted a couple of photos on my Instagram feed, but I also wanted to give a little more time to the line with a blog post as well. Among other things, I really want to use these  prints in conjunction with the Bird and Flower blocks that I have been showing on Instagram as well. My wonderful Mother in Law, Betty,  hand embroidered a BUNCH ( I...
