Wonder – And Beyond

Wonder – And Beyond

Wonder. The world is full of this, don’t you think?

I am often in wonder of the world around me. Sometimes in a beautiful, inspired way and sometimes a bit more bewildered in a wondering, lost way.  Variety keeps life interesting, right?

I have been wondering lately WHAT happened to my July this year? I started out in Sisters, Oregon at the marvelous Quilting Party put on there by the Stitchin’ Post and the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show. But after that? It has been kind of a blur, and a little too warm last week (this week is better) for this Pacific Northwesterner! And August will be busy too as I am prepping now to go to a ‘new-to-me’ teaching venue in Valdez, Alaska!

So onto Today’s WONDER:

Carrie Bloomston’s Wonder fabric will be in the shops in September. You need to get some of this! It is super bright and cheerful with incredibly intense colorings. So much to love in this line!!

I made this version of my Hashabout quilt for Carrie’s Wonder Lookbook and for the Windham Market Booth. I had so much fun and I loved how different it was from the original quilt with that navy background and mustard border!

There were plenty of scraps when I was done, and Sally at my Day Job loves to sew all sorts of stuff, so she made a bunch of cool stuff from some of those scraps.

Coffee Cup Sleeves and Jar Wraps:

These cool little Chicken Pincushions:

And these adorable Owls (I can’t find pattern Info on these; I know I have seen this pattern before) :

Also a great fabric bowl…..I am loving the bicycles and butterflies as well as the little French flags!

Sally is incredibly prolific, don’t you think?  I am truly blessed to be on the same team with her!

That’s it for today people.

Wonder is hitting the shops next month, keep an eye out for it, you’re going to love it!

Keep Sewing, Keep Happy,

Scott
