163: March Mail brings April Snowflowers??

Well I think this stuff came here in March….Life has been so hectic lately, I can’t remember…But here it is, my 4th project for Free Spirit Fabrics:  Christmas Snowflower by Dena Designs….

Here is the fabric:

  

Here are the first stage of playing around with my original concept on the design wall:

   Both look a little too radioactive in my humble opinion.  While I was playing around with this, Max, my middle child came in and started playing with them, and he gave me this idea which I totally love!

And here is the final choice for the first star with its background field:

  Needs some trimming, but that is essentially it…only 8 more to go…(for scale each triangle unit is about 5 inches across the base)
