Day Six #12DaysofColor!

Hey there! We made it to Day 6! Woohoo!!

I still haven’t gotten that “grab my button” coding done, so at this point….it just may be too late….I really needed to start planning this whole event two weeks earlier, but I was so busy with so many things, that I feel lucky just to have gotten this far. I really have enjoyed reading your comments and sharing these blocks with you though, even if I haven’t had the best pre-planning on the event.

One of the comments recently was about the Aurfil threads of the day, and I just want to clarify a couple of things. The threads that I am featuring are just some of the threads that I have been using here. They are not the “prize” ones because the prize ones are bigger and more for piecing as most of them are more neutral. The grand prize Aurifil pack does have more color, but they are also the larger spools.  I have simply been featuring them as part of the “color” portion of the posts because Aurifil has so graciously been one of the sponsors of this little series. The spools pictured are more eye candy than anything else.

Here is the Kona block done up in — in Persimmon, Valentine,  and Prussian (which “quilting-related” company has a logo in these colors??  The combo seems very familiar to me!):

So as you have been doing, post a comment here (and if you haven’t on the past 12 Days of Color! posts, them too) to be eligible for the daily prize as well as the grand prizes at the end….(they are big, I promise… I will have some pix of the prizes somewhere near the end of this series….Day 10 or 11 I think) Comment about the blocks, the colors, the prints, the amount of chocolate you have consumed this year, month, week, day, etc.  Things like that.
