Dem Bones….are anything but Dry Bones….

Dem Bones….are anything but Dry Bones….

Okay…part of November’s catch up Blog Post-a-thon…yeah, I made that up Spellcheck police, so there…. Anyway…part of the catch up is featuring this really cool line of fabric from Cloud 9 called Dem Bones by Sarah Watson. There are only four prints, but maybe there will be more next year. I am totally crushing on this line though. And I don’t think it has to just be for Halloween, which is why I wasn’t really in a rush to get this post up, even though I know most people would use this mostly for Halloween.

I want to make this quilt that Michelle Engel Bencsko designed as a download for the line…but not sure WHEN I will get the time….and I have my own skull quilt I am working on right now…but there can never be enough skulls around, you know?  This is a super cool quilt for kids though, right?

And just to post some pics of how I think this can be added to everyday prints, I have it paired here on the design wall with some decidedly NOT Halloween fabric from the Downton Abbey line by Andover, as well as Kona Snow from Robert Kaufman and an older skull print from Michael Miller.

So that’s it for today’s “catch-up” post…look for more this week…I still have a lot of books, fabrics, and a couple of quilt designs to show you as well as other Blue Nickel News…
