Jumping on the wagon…..
Yes, I caved. I started on this colossal, addictive project around the first of the year just to do something for “me”, no pattern-writing, no promotion needed, etc…. So here are a few snaps of what I have been up to on this Scrappy Tripalong.
If you have been been following me on Instagram, you’ve already seen many of my snaps of progress on this.
The only trouble is, I don’t necessarily feel like I am “busting” my stash. I seem to have MORE scraps afterwards.
Anyone else have that problem?
Tomorrow, I have another “Scrappy” project that I started at the same time ( I know, I know) that I’d love company in…and if you are doing the #scrappytripalong you can use your scraps from that project in it! 🙂 ……Just to make sure you have enough to do this year….

I jumped on that bandwagon, too! Started last night with leftover binding strips and other leftovers. I stopped today, after six blocks because I found myself thinking about cutting yardage to make more. I think I got it out of my system, for now…

I will not jump the shark.

I seem to have the opposite problem –not enough scraps…yet. I’ve only been quilting a few years, and most of my stash is in yardage. I love the scrappy look, but I find myself hesitating to cut into a big piece, lest I need it for a later project. No doubt I’ll be where you are someday.

I love the picture of the blocks flying on the laundry line. Can’t wait to see your scrappy project.

Please stop tempting me!!!! Every time I see this quilt I want to make one!!!! I can’t stand it anymore, I’m going to cave……

I have known this tutorial quite a while now, but there have always been other projects that were more important… but since I need to make some “quick” quilts to donate by the end of this month, I guess one of them will be a scrappy trips one…
I’m organizing my scraps like it’s suggested by Bonnie Hunter: http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2005/06/scrap-users-system.html – that way I don’t have to cut anything for a special project and I never end up with more scraps than I had before…
