Watch It Wednesday #3
so here is a quintessential 80’s video for you…. I don’t know what to say about this video other than when I first saw it, I just thought it was so cool how coordinated the girls were and how bored they looked during the whole thing….Now as a father of teens…I am thinking….huh, this was more suggestive than I remember….but I still love the line “she’s so fine, there’s no telling where the money went” ….it cracks me up every time!
Enjoy! …..or reminisce….or make a really cool quilt with the pinks/oranges/purples/reds/blacks and whites…..there’s always something you can get out of a video in my book…

Next Wednesday??…..something VERY different than this that is for sure!!

Wow, haven’t seen this video in years. Thanks for posting one of my favorite 80’s songs! (I love pink, red and orange together!)
Tabitha O.
Its funny (or not) how much I cringe now hearing the girls sing suggestive lyrics and having no clue like I did as a teen…it just cracks me up.
Carla
I grew up in Texas, and I remember thinking the gals would look so much better with their hair done up in a spiral perm with big poofy bangs!
Ha, ha! funny Carla….I think that is part of what made this so unique back then…the hair is so different than what was the norm…
Cindy B.
I had never seen the video so I am glued … and thinking: did my hips EVER move like that?!
Cathy A.
I remember this video–I was always struck by and offended at how they made all these women look the exactly same with no individuality.
I always thought how strange it was that the women were so detached in every way it seemed …
Alison
Oh memories…we all probably looked that good in the 80’s!! LOL! Seeing what my teen watches now though, these girls look much more covered up than today’s videos

I remember my daughter telling me about the day she realized what the song Peaches was about – and it wasn’t eating peaches! Made me laugh.
My sister in law was just so up in arms when their daughter who was 7 or 8 at the time (around 35 now), was singing “Like a Virgin” along with Madonna. They were completely prepared to never let her listen to the radio again. Then they realized she was singing “like a persian.”
