204:A matter of convenience….(and a winner please)
Ready for a non quilting entry?? Well this one is mostly not a quilting entry, it is a confession of sorts, and perhaps a resolution with a rather silly bent to it. Frankly, I really don’t like “resolutions” as I usually don’t have that much resolve. Thus you have stumbled onto my story of two 6-packs…the First is the one I usually reach for and can be found at most convenience stores. The Second is the one that Wish I could get and keep on me, but not nearly as Convenient as the First. I have been told that I actually Do Have the Second underneath all those layers of the First that I have been piling over it over the years, but I have never actually seen it, even when I was in my 20’s ….so to think I could find it again in my 40’s seems a bit ridiculous, but short of an actual New Year’s resolution, I have told myself, that I am going to get back to the working out “towards” finding the Second with as much resolve as I can….and working at avoiding conveniently picking up the First at the gas stations that I patronize… Wish me luck!! I will seriously need it!!

And Now to announce the winner of this post ….Again another tough decision that I have given myself, but there weren’t as many entries so that made it a little easier. I see that I forgot to post a picture of the prize, and since I haven’t yet put it together yet, there isn’t a picture here either, but trust me you will like the fabric you get…it will all be from the top companies out there…
so (get to the point, Scott) the winner of the name the moon and the moth picture contest is…..
5. Asiyah on 12-24-09 @7:55am… “Mothra finds love”
I also really liked 11.Peggi on 12-26-09 @ 12:17 pm who said “moth-erly love” and 16.Barb in MI on 12-31-09 @ 6:08 pm who threw in some Shakespeare (I am a sucker for Shakespeare, Barb, how did you know?)
….so Asiyah please contact me at bluenickel5 at earthlink.net with your snail mail and Peggi and Barb go ahead and contact me too with your mailing addresses too, and I will send you out a couple of 10″ squares of fabric as well.
Thanks to everyone for entering on the last two giveaways…it’s fun to send stuff out…if you won on the 200th blog giveaway and haven’t received your prize….well, it’s cause they’re still sitting on my table…but next week for sure I will get them out of here…..
much love to all of you and thanks for droppin’ by the Blue Nickel….

Wow, I won and in true (?) Shakespeare manner:
“Fabric, Fabric! My kingdom for some fabric!” or rather
“A horse, a horse! My kingdom for a horse!” (Richard the Third, act 5).
Thank you so much – even though I don’t have a kingdom to give away,
I love winning a give-away…
Thanks for your generosity!
Tabitha O.
Good luck on your resolution, I decided long ago that I don’t DO resolutions I just DO (ya know Yoda and all that)…I love that ‘Mothra finds love’ that is too funny and deserves the win lol
