185: Doll Quilt Swap # 7
Here is one of those mostly picture posts…hope you don’t mind… I got signed up for Doll Quilt Swap 7, and my swap partner likes owls..so I found some Owls by Amy Schimler…and started playing….I paid absolutely no attention to any rules…it wasn’t easy, but I like the results….Hope my DQS7 buddy does!
Strips sewn somewhat randomly…
A wonky wrench…
the top is finished ( I apologize for the lighting in these)
See how the trees in the wrenches sorta line up….kinda…
Just needs to be quilted and bound…can I do it before the deadline???
So I showed you what I have been up to…(actually only a tiny bit, but it is something)…what are you doing???
Asiyah
What a lucky partner you have. You can get it finished before the deadline, no problem. I also participated in DQS7; thankfully I finished mine a few weeks ago.
Now if I can ever stop procrastinating on mailing it!
Brenda
it’s gorgeous! I bet the recipient will be delighted. She lucked out having you as a partner!

What fun…what a great way to use up those smaller pieces that are still really cool.
What am I doing? I just today finished the top and bottom of a quilt for my son’s bed. Now to get busy and quilt it, it just might even be finished by his birthday. =o)

I am a lucky girl! Love it Scott! First word that came out of my mouth when I opened it, “Owls!” Second words, “Look! A man did this!” while looking disapprovingly at my boyfriend sitting watching t.v.
Glad you likey! I actually have become a little more attached to owls myself after working on it. (oh, and sometimes I do watch TV too…so don’t be too hard on your man, we all need some sort of zone!)
Kim
LOL! You are so right about the t.v. Actually the t.v. is a good distraction for him while I’m sewing! I forgot to thank you for the fat quarters! I love them too! I’ll have to hide them from my niece who claims the best fabric for her projects.
