Design Wall

This will be a series of the design wall area of Blue Nickel Studios….usually it will be just the area above the ironing board…bigger design testings/plannings will likely show up in the projects section.

4/11/09 Long time since I updated here…this is already off the wall….now that I am publishin more it is harder to show this area of the studio as things are supposed to be hidden until revealed in the proper channels..

July 23, 2008 Really I have used this wall between this date and the last posting…just haven’t plopped it in here. Oh, and now I am adding bigger pictures that can be enlarged even more!

April 14, 2008 these are the centers for the quilt class that I am teaching from Sara Nephew’s book Serendipity Quilts. They are just the centers, and haven’t been “feathered” out yet, but it should be a bright and cheery quilt when it is done. It might become placemats…haven’t decided yet…

March 27, 2008 This is the beginning of my part on a Round Robin that I am doing with some men from the QuiltGuy group on Yahoo. What I received is the center section noted, I am adding the next border which is barely showing on this shot. I am making more of the little stars on the left echoing the center and then in the center of each of the stars, I am putting a small circle of pale green. This green actually is in the border preceding mine just barely but enough to draw it out. This quilt belongs to Jeff Rutherford I believe, and he should get it back in October with 3 more borders on it after mine.

March 8, 2008 sparse in comparison to the past…this is likely my next collaborative quilt coming up..I am quite pleased with the giant flower on the left, and that may become its very own quilt with other oversized flowers with it…life has been getting harder with all the career flip-flopping I have been doing….nothing seems easy, and I am beginning to realize that “I” can only control so much in this life…..but I can keep producing art.

February 17, 2008 have been so busy with juggling all of my career changes and figuring out mid-life reinvention….haven’t been as diligent as posting on this page as much as I would like to…
