Windham — blush & blooms

Windham — blush & blooms

How’s about some great Spring Action today on our Sunday post  in the Windham Weekend series! Here’s blush & blooms by Iza Pearl Design.

This line is very fresh with some color-washed solids to create some contrast from the riotous garden prints that make this line sing. I personally like the grey-blue elements that really set off the other colors in the line. ( I sound soooo advertizy-promotionally and all don’t I? )

Even though there are some very busy florals in this collection, it seems to be well balanced with some great tonal – blender type prints. They look great together of course, but they will play nicely with other prints too I am sure.

I made an almost  complete row from my new pattern – Hugs & Kisses No. 9 to create a table runner. Haven’t had the chance to quilt it up yet. I am hoping that I will be able to sneak in quilting it this summer! (Stop laughing!) You can get the pattern for Hugs & Kisses No. 9 here.

I was battling lighting while taking photos of the project though. Sorry they aren’t better, but you get the gist of it.

The house in not quite this chartreuse in color. Close, but not quite.

And has a little Cap to the Windham Weekend, I am offering a sale on everything in the shop including my new pattern featured above. Just use the code CINCODEMAYO16 for 20% off all purchases. Good through May 5th.

Now don’t forget to leave a comment here (as well as the last two posts) to win a scrap package of Windham Fabrics. Most of the fabric is from the last three posts of the Windham Weekend. I actually found another set of Windham fabrics from last summer that I used to make a bunch of Monica’s Bags, so I will have another post featuring them as well (and there will be some of that line in the scraps too). Maybe I will save those photos to announce the winner of the scrap bundle! I will draw the winner’s name on May 5th.

So for now…..
Keep Sewing, Keep Happy,

Scott
