Windham — Good Hair Day

Windham — Good Hair Day

So does anyone remember back in early February when I thought I was so organized and got a WHOLE bunch of posts ready to go? Well….MOST of those are still sitting there waiting…So I am not going to say WHEN I will get them done this time, but I am going to try to bust them out of hiding! I have been working on so many behind the scenes things and I had all sorts of unsightly “businessy” stuff to do in the last half of February – which ran into March- and then April disappeared in a flash. I had Taxes and Two FAFSA’s for two kids in college (So glad the oldest took Running Start and  got out before the middle and youngest got in!) Plus I had two quilts for two different magazines to get done and I was behind on the Patchwork Almanac project that I am doing all year with Generation Q.  And I am working on The Splendid Sampler blocks too, right? Oy Vey!

SO today’s post? I thought I had already posted it in February!

Today Is Good Hair Day’s Day to shine on the blog. Good Hair Day is by Kim Anderson for Windham Fabrics. It just came out in December so you should be able to get some still I hope!

I posted about Tidal Lace last September, and I think this line is even better than that one.  Much more intense colors and some very creative color combinations.

The golds and corals and the tantalizing blues in this collection are spectacular and will make excellent accents when mixed into the stash!!

All things needed for hair. I haven’t quite figured out what the little half circle things are on the blue, gold and cream backgrounds on the left in the picture below? All I can think of is a stylized 1920’s bobbed haircut.

I think the bobby pin prints (below pic – top right) are so fun, and I really love the violet and gold colorway in that print!

So what did I make? More of Monica‘s bags of course. And some 3″ and 6″ nine patches for my ongoing project that I don’t know what I am going to do with yet.

So that’s it for Good Hair Day. I have 3 more Windham lines appearing in the next couple of posts. If I can stay focused enough, I will try to make this a Windham Weekend! With a prize being offered in Last post (Sunday, I hope). So start commenting here if you’ll be gone this weekend and you will be entered to win a bundle of assorted Windham Scraps!!

Keep Sewing, Keep Happy,

Scott

I too like the Bobby pins on violet and the navy. I am a big lover of grey so the hairdryers also caught my eye. Thanks for the opportunity to win.

I like the bobby pin prints too, and the hair comb with flowers on orange – that is so fun! And I think that you are right about the curly print – stick a face in there and you have a cute 1920’s bob haircut!

Those little half circles are kind of odd, but bet they are meant to be hair. My favorite is the hair combs. Lots of pretty colors.
