Windham — Tidal Lace

Windham — Tidal Lace

Thank you so much to all of you who have posted comments here or on Facebook with kind words and encouragement in the loss of my Mom.  It is good to know that I have so many people in my network who care.

One of my mom’s favorite places was Washington’s Pacific Ocean Coastline. She and Dad owned a small hotel out in Westport, Washington for a few years in the early 90’s, and ever since they sold it they made numerous trips back to the coast.

Sooooo…I thought that today I would talk about this line from Windham Fabrics that I got quite a bit ago and just hadn’t gotten to posting about. I just looked it up and see it was in stores January 2015….SOOO if you want to get this, get it fast, because there might not be much left out there!

Tidal Lace is by Kim Andersson from I Adore Pattern. And just so you know, Kim has another new line coming out called Good Hair Day

The above pictures are from early summer when I still had green grass in the back yard….

I finally got around to sewing up some  basic 9 patches which I love for quick little projects. I have box of nine patches that I have been making up from different manufacturers just to have some there……I like having them as spare parts for something down the road.

These 9 patches are from 2 1/2″ squares.

So that’s Tidal Lace. I hope you can find some out there still. In the fabric world, 9 months is a long time for something to be still available. I did though see some out in Ocean Shores, Washington last month, so it can be found.

Today’s mom’s memorial at my home. If anything up above sounds weird or isn’t perfectly worded. that’s probably why.

Keep Happy, Keep Sewing,

Scott

Hang in there… pretty fabric, very evocative of the coast.
