More from Sisters…..

More from Sisters…..

So a little more about Sisters …..part 2…Classes at Quilters Affair…….

First off my classes were so fun to teach! I have to admit I was a bit nervous because this venue was the “big time” and two of my classes were VERY full! But I was quickly reminded how wonderful most quilters really are, and we all just had a great time.   My first class was from my someday (very slowly coming along) book.  I just loved all the different interpretations of my design.  These are the very center medallions of their quilts.  Fun, Wonky, and they really seemed to enjoy the freedom from any quilt police.

For my second class the “Wave”  I forgot my camera at the hotel!! so No pix…but we did have fun!

My third class was a two day-er…and I taught some 60 degree triangle concepts and helped students design their own original designs….this was a great class, and though some of the students felt intimidated by the concept, they all came up with very unique and fun concepts.  Here are just a few of them:

And my Friday class was one of my favorites from my friends Sara’s bookFireworks was the pattern and here are just some of the student’s “blocks” all put together…..

That’s it for now…..one more post on Sisters to follow….two books I found there and a 1971 issue of Quilters Newsletter which you are not going to believe!!!

  • Sisters looks like so so much fun. One of these days I’d love to go. Kind of jealous of all the northwest quilty connections.
