175: win or win not…there is no trying

c3po and r2d2   Unfortunately Sarah Vee who used that Yoda-speak above in her comment didn’t win….but I am thinking she deserves a single fat quarter just for the cleverness…  (and unfortunately Yoda was previously engaged at the timing of our Star Wars photo shoot in the studio)

not Mark Hamill This is so not looking like Mark Hamill..I mean check out that “massive” chest here, folks!

Maybe Old D.V. will help iron this mess! vader and friend ObiWan  “I feel a great disturbance in the studio”

But the other 2 winners are ….Star Wars theme music please….Brenda  wins the subdued set subdued set

and Jessica wins the bright set bright set   Okay maybe not BRIGHT Bright, but Light Bright….

…so email me ladies so I have your addresses.  You too Sarah Vee for your special cleverness FQ! (yet to be determined)

A big thank you to all who entered my little mini giveaway and put up with the no pictures or posts for awhile.  I haven’t been slacking, just really busy and the computer needed some work

……okay, and well I did discover that Twitter is like an all day party, so well, yes, I have been Tweeting a bit too much (just ask some of my Tweets, they may say, “oh, yeah, that Scott, he can be weird on the ole’ Tweet-machine”)  I think I “get” Twitter a little better than Facebook of which I am also on. I dunno…probably just a phase for me too..I really do like blogging, but sometimes it seems to take sooooo  long for me to get an entry finished, and then sometimes I don’t quite get the pictures the way I want.

I hope you enjoyed today’s Star Wars Montage.  Now that the photo-loading is back and fully operational here at the Blue Nickel, I have plenty of back-logged pix clamoring to be released…..plus another BIGGER giveaway, some great garage sales scores, and more.

Have a terrific 4th of July all you United State citizens, and to the rest of the world, please remember even though we sometimes get a bad rap out there in the world, we are peeps just like you.  We love our kids, we’d rather laugh than cry, and really most of us want to help others….(okay, so I am getting all world-lovey here…but it is probably because I have been feeling whiney about things that don’t work out the way I WANT them to, but really, overall, I am blessed, and somehow I would like to share that with more of the world)   Soapbox over…..for now….

One last photo….and remember “someone who loves you”,  and love ’em back, okay??

someone who loves you

  • Generous one, you are, Scott! Thrilled I am!! I love the pics today. I grinned through them until the last one had me laugh out loud:) I don’t twitter and there’s a reason. The same reason I can’t go near Juicy fruit gum anymore. Limits I have not:) Congrats winners. And Happy 4th America! (Right now our ‘space’ channel is doing a “force in july” marathon – one star wars movie a night culminating tonight!!)

Thanks for the blog-love…..but Brenda, us guys never want to be called a softie, even if we are the creative type…sweetheart, cool..softie, not so much….but that doesn’t negate the blog-love back at you either…And happy 5th to you as well 🙂

  • Oh sweet! More free fabric from you! And I totally love the “brights”. Hmm…what to use them for?

Oh did I tell you I may have to buy more Be A Man for Theo’s Bday cause I’m going a construction theme. Some of it is perfect.

Can I trust you still have my address?

  • I’m with you on the Twitter love. I thought I was just getting old and it was too late to learn new ‘puter tricks, but I’m okay with the Tweets. Of course, I’m boring as all get out, but at least someone out there knows I’m not lying in a ditch somewhere.

So… what sort of trouble was it to gather most of the cast for the photo shoot?

Well Yoda was not to be found, and his line was key to the shot…we did it without him anyway…he was probably out partying with the rest of the Stormtroopers we couldn’t find..likely at an ABBA reunion tour concert or something like that! 🙂
