106: Tired — Part one

106: Tired — Part one

I wish I had some good excuse for not posting over the last 10 days….is there anyone still out there reading this?  I have been so busy trying to finish up some of my commitments, and so many things have been happening in our family life.  Not BIG things, but time comsuming stuff.  One big thing for our family has been that we finally left dial up in the dust and moved into this century with High Speed Internet (HSI)!!  HSI may be part of the problem for the not posting deal….as someone… ahem.. got really excited about how fast you tube videos download, and well, I , I mean someone, got a little carried away with Krono-cide (the act of killing time)….

That being said, last Thursday or Friday I received this terrific gift in the mail.  It is from April Mazzoleni, and it is her doll quilt swap to me!  Ain’t it awesome!  I love cathedral quilts, and this has a great Manly feel to it!

She even used the hanging display idea that I have a link to here.

She actually did the cathedral part by machine and very well too, as you can’t really tell it is machine done other than it is TOO precise…LOL.. but look at the hand done stuff…       Yes, the label is all hand stiched.  That writing isn’t with pen, folks, it is with needle and floss…..Thanks BIG time April!

And here is the queen doing what I feel like doing, but    I have too much going on.

The nice thing is that pictures load WAY faster now, and though I haven’t been posting, I have been taking pictures to share…that is until my camera broke on Sunday….so I have a bunch of photos to load, and you should see some more photos soon!

  • Ah, I can relate to the “tired-too many things going on-get caught up wasting time on the computer” and for me it is reading
other people’s blogs!! Hee Hee guess what I am doing right now!! Anyway, that doll quilt is very nice and you are a very lucky
person to call it your own. Nice job by April!

  • I wasn’t still reading, but I’m reading now. I found your blog through a friend, and I’ll post a link on my quilt blog, (which isn’t the one referenced here) maybe round up a few more readers for you. =)

I love the cathedral quilt. Do you know what size the original and inside blocks measurements are?

    Thanks,
    Karen

    Hey Karen,
this quilt was a gift, so actually I am not sure how big April started with on these….maybe you could find out from her. I have a link to her site in the post.
